Buffalo Grove acts on Lake-Cook Road Corridor Market Study

Buffalo Grove trustees this week officially incorporated the Lake-Cook Road Corridor Market Study and Plan into the village's 2009 comprehensive plan. Village Planner Nicole Woods said the plan, the product of 18 months of work and collaboration, "will serve as an important and flexible guide in the future development and planning." The plan gives high priority to the transformation of Chase Plaza and Town Center. Woods said future steps include meetings with residents, developers, businesses and key property owners. Trustee David Weidenfeld said, "I have lived in this village since 1985. I have never seen a project in which the public was so heavily involved and invited to be so heavily involved." Village President Beverly Sussman said residents "are excited about what's going on."
