Last Kiss survivor's note:

It was helpful to keep things the same at the house and not to change.

"We're not going to hide from Mom. We're not going to hide from her pictures. We're not moving. We're going to have to navigate and learn how to deal with our feelings."

I think that helped. It kind of evolved. It wasn't Day One. But it really helped that the kids and I were able to talk about Mom.

Now, we reference Mom in our conversations almost daily.
