Carjackers strike at Oakbrook Center
A woman's car was stolen at gunpoint at Oakbrook Center mall Wednesday morning.
The 68-year-old woman was sitting in her Honda Civic before starting work when her car was blocked by a white Toyota Camry, according to the Oak Brook Police Department. The Camry was reported stolen in Maywood. Police said she described being approached by a man with a gun who demanded she leave her car.
When she tried to run car with her purse, the man ran after her and took it before driving away in her car. The woman told the authorities that the two cars were driven away by two black men.
