St. Pat's parade in Lake Villa
The annual Lake Villa St. Patrick's Day Parade & Luncheon begins at noon Saturday. The lineup begins at 10:30 a.m. at Palombi School, 133 McKinley Ave. The route is: McKinley north to Burnett Avenue, left, to Sherwood Avenue, right to Grand Avenue, left to Cedar Avenue and then right and ending on Railroad Avenue near the Lake Villa VFW, where a corned beef and cabbage lunch will be served after the parade. Cost is $9 for adults and $7 for those over 65, and $7 for kids under 12. A hot dog and potato chip meal will be available for $4. Food donations for the township pantry will be accepted along the parade route and at the VFW.
