Romeoville men charged in July Naperville armed robbery
One Romeoville man is free on bail and a warrant has been issued for another in connection with a July armed robbery in Naperville.
Connor Machota, 18, of the 1200 block of Santa Fe Road, turned himself in last week and immediately posted 10 percent of his $30,000 bail. A $200,000 arrest warrant remains active for Jaziel J. Bradley, 19, of the 600 block of Hamrick Avenue. Both men are charged with aggravated robbery.
Police said they were called to the 1500 block of North Naper Boulevard for a report of a robbery in progress around 9 p.m. July 18. They say Machota and Bradley had arranged to meet the victim on social media to buy four Lollapalooza tickets but instead they displayed a handgun and stole the victim's tickets, cash, car keys and cellphone.
The weapon was never recovered, but Machota and Bradley eventually were identified as suspects and charges were approved Feb. 7.
Bradley is also wanted on a $10,000 arrest warrant and charged with the Sept 1, 2017, residential burglary of a home on the 30 block of S. Sleight Street in Naperville.
Machota is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on April 6 in courtroom 4012.
