DeKalb man arrested in Lake County on warrants

A DeKalb man wanted by authorities on several outstanding warrants was arrested early Wednesday near Tower Lakes, the Lake County sheriff's police announced. Thomas F. Kornfeind, 44, was wanted for aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic violence. Sheriff's police found Kornfeind while responding to a request to check on a woman in a residence on the 400 block of East Oakwood Drive. Kornfeind and the woman retreated to a bedroom, police said, but he eventually surrendered.
