13 restaurants coming to Rolling Meadows' 'Taste the Town'

Thirteen restaurants will be participating in the second annual Taste the Town - essentially an indoor "taste of Rolling Meadows" - on Saturday, March 3.

The "sample and sip" event is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Rolling Meadows Community Center, 3705 Pheasant Drive. Restaurants, offering sample-sized menu items will include The Stadium Sports Club, Buona Beef, Papa Saverio's, Gus' Diner, Fratello's, Asian Tokyo, HoneyBaked Ham, Pepe's, Red Apple Pancake House, Chicago Hickory Roasters, Senor Tacos, Chef Ping and Meijer bakery. There will also be live music from David Paige, a 50/50 raffle, and cash bar with soft drinks, wine and beer. Tickets are $15 and available at the door or in advance at the community center. Some 200 people attended the inaugural event, city officials said.
