Power outage in Hanover Park after vehicle strikes utility pole

More than 100 residents in Hanover Park were without Wednesday morning after a vehicle struck a utility pole.

A vehicle struck the ComEd electric pole Tuesday evening near the intersection of Lake Street and Cloverdale Road, police said. About 600 people in the area, including the Tanglewood Subdivision, were without power during the overnight hours, police said.

About 9 a.m., ComEd was reporting that 119 people were affected. By 1 p.m., ComEd was reporting no power outages in the area.
