How to provide input on District 62's long-term plan

Des Plaines Elementary District 62 has started its strategic plan process to help shape the future direction of the district.

Staff, parents, students and residents are invited to provide input via a survey that will be open until Feb. 12.

"This process will be a defining initiative to shape our school district for the next three to five years and beyond," interim Superintendent Paul Hertel said in a news release. "We seek broad-based participation in this process and are including stakeholders from across the community. Strong participation will yield better information for issues to be considered in the planning process."

The feedback provided will be a critical component to help create the draft of the strategic plan, officials said.
