Household waste collection events in Gurnee
The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will hold household chemical waste events Saturday, Feb. 10 and Monday, Feb. 26, at its facility, 1311 N. Estes St., Gurnee.
Appointments are required. Collections are for residential waste only. No business waste will be accepted. The events offered at no cost to Illinois residents only.
Accepted items include CFL bulbs, unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medicines and supplements, household cleaners and chemicals, gasoline, garden chemicals, pesticides, oil-based paints and varnishes.
