Wauconda man charged with 12 drug offenses after police raid
A Wauconda man is facing a dozen drug charges after a police raid.
A series of complaints of drug dealing by neighbors led police to execute a search warrant at the residence of Dale Hoagland III, 35, of the 100 block of East Mill Street. Inside, they found a range of drugs including cannabis, heroin, crack cocaine, the prescription opioid Oxymorphone and alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax, according to a news release from the Wauconda Police Department.
In addition to the drugs, police also seized approximately $2,000 in cash and prepaid debit cards and a 2013 Honda CR-Z, officials said.
"This investigation and arrest will save countless people from overdosing," said Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran.
"Through pooled resources and collaboration, Wauconda police and the Gang Task Force worked together to take another dangerous heroin dealer off the streets, keeping Lake County that much safer."
Hoagland is being held in the Lake County jail on a $500,000 bail. He is due in court again Feb. 20.
