Oakton names director of grant strategy and development

Oakton Community College trustees have approved the appointment of Allison Grippe as the college's new director of grant strategy and development.

Grippe has served as director of grants at the Harper College Educational Foundation since 2014.

Grippe will be responsible for strategic planning and leading the coordination of collegewide activities to secure grants from external public and private sources, including monitoring fiscal and programmatic aspects of externally-funded projects; negotiating funded grant contracts; and managing, implementing, supervising and supporting all Oakton-related grant applications.

With nearly 15 years of resource development, grant writing and management, budget development and strategic planning experience, Grippe was chosen from a field of 30 applicants and was one of four finalists following six on-campus interviews in fall 2017.

Grippe will earn an annual salary of $85,000.
