Reading supports food bank

Read to Serve, Lake Villa District Library's 2018 winter reading program, will benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank. For every 15 minutes read, the Friends of LVDL donate up to $5 per participant. Logs to track reading time will be available at any library service desk beginning Monday, Jan. 15. The 2018 Winter One Book is Leanne Brown's "Good and Cheap," a cookbook based on the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) allowance of $4 per day. Copies will be available at service desks. The program runs through Feb. 28. Visit www.lvdl.org.
