Rosemont reveals new holiday TV commercials, billboards

Rosemont has revealed a new set of holiday-themed television commercials and billboards promoting the village's entertainment offerings.

The TV spots, which began airing on local channels this month, are similar to the ones that aired last spring and summer.

Both sets of commercials feature an R&B-inspired song that encourages visitors to "Rosemont It!" on social media while in and around town. The newest ads feature more winter-themed images, such as ice skating in the entertainment district.

The 2017 advertising campaign also included radio spots, taxi tops, and digital and print ads coordinated by Chicago public relations firm Carol Fox & Associates. The village inked a $235,000 contract last year with Chicago-based Big Shoulders Digital Video Productions to produce the ads.

The village also got more than $1 million from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity's Office of Tourism to help pay for the ad campaign and other activities of the Rosemont Convention & Tourism Bureau.
