Buffalo Grove honored for blood drives

When it comes to donating blood, Buffalo Grove is among the most generous communities in the region.
That's according to LifeSource, the Rosemont-based organization which recently honored Buffalo Grove as among the two top-performing groups they work with.
The volunteers who lead the effort, including members of the Buffalo Grove Health Commission, received special recognition this month from village leaders. They accepted certificates and buffalo pins recognizing their service during a village board meeting.
