Naperville police seek wallet theft suspect

Naperville police are searching for a suspect who is accused of stealing a wallet from a fitness center and using a credit card found inside to make purchases at a Bolingbrook Walmart.

Police Cmdr. Lou Cammiso said the wallet was reported stolen Nov. 22 from a locker room at the Naperville location of Planet Fitness, 1163 E. Ogden Ave.

That same day, the suspect is accused of using credit cards from the wallet at the Walmart in Bolingbrook, 200 S. Bolingbrook Drive, where surveillance video captured his image.

Police describe the suspect as a black man about 30 years old standing 6 feet 2 inches tall with a muscular build. Police said he was wearing a surgical mask, a stocking cap and sunglasses when he entered the fitness center the day the wallet was stolen.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone who witnessed the wallet theft or has information about it is asked to call (630) 320-6006. Callers may remain anonymous.
