Tower Lakes police: Man reportedly trying to lure children
Tower Lakes police are investigating a report of a man approaching children and asking them to help him find his bunny.
Barrington police are publicizing the purported incident that occurred Friday, Dec. 1, as three children played in the area of Indian Grass Court in Tower Lakes.
Police said the man was in a white Hyundai sport utility vehicle when he approached the kids and told them he would give them money if they helped him find his bunny.
Police said the report serves as a reminder to discuss "stranger danger" with your children and tell them to never to be lured into someone's car or go with them in return for candy or other rewards.
