Hawthorn Woods' Mancino to lead mayors organization
Hawthorn Woods Mayor Joseph Mancino recently was elected chairman of the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, a membership organization of 275 cities, towns and villages founded in 1997 by then-Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley.
The organization includes mayors from nine suburban municipal groups who work on public policy issues and collaborate on common problems. Mancino represents the Lake County Municipal League, for which he served as president the past two years.
