Second donor doubling Believe Project gifts

Just a few days ago, we announced the beginning of this year's Believe Project and invited you to tell us how you'd use $100 to help someone else.

Right away, readers began sharing their truly moving stories of friends who dedicate themselves to helping others or of loved ones who've hit bumps in life's road and could use a little extra money this holiday season.

And now this: A second donor has pledged to match the $3,100 given by the Believe Project's original benefactor.

With two sponsors, the Believe Project now will be able to award $100 gifts every day in December to two readers who want to thank someone for being selfless, reward another's generosity, help someone in need or brighten another's holidays.

If you'd like to tell us who you think deserves $100, visit events.dailyherald.com/believe-project to share their story. We'll accept nominations until Friday, Dec. 8, but the sooner you enter, the better. Winners already are being chosen.

We look forward to hearing why you believe in the people around you.
