Arlington Heights police looking for pair who stole $4k in medicine

Arlington Heights police are looking for two people officials say stole nearly $4,000 in over-the-counter drugs from a Jewel-Osco store last month.

A black man and black woman walked into the store, 440 E. Rand Road, just before 1 a.m. Oct. 27 and the woman picked up a tub of cheese balls before she and the man began loading what amounted to $3,954.06 worth of over-the-counter medications into two laundry baskets in a cart, according to a post on the police department's Facebook page.

The pair left the store with the cart and fled the scene in a white sedan, police said.
