Yingling, Curran hosting public safety meeting Nov. 28

State Rep. Sam Yingling and Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran are co-hosting a town-hall meeting later this month to address public safety issues such as the opioid crisis and other state matters.

The event is scheduled to take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the Woodland Elementary School West cafeteria, 17371 W. Gages Lake Road in Grayslake.

"This town hall will help educate the public on some of the work the sheriff's office is doing, provide them with important updates from Springfield and allow attendees to have their questions answered," Yingling, a Democrat from Grayslake, said in an announcement of the meeting.

The event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated but not necessary. Constituents are encouraged to contact Yingling by email at RepSamYingling@gmail.com or by phone at (847) 231-6262.
