Adler hosts reception Friday for new exhibits

A free opening reception for new works by Chicago artist Bob Klunk and Vernon Hills artist Karen Altschul will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at the David Adler Music & Arts Center, 1700 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

Klunk will be showing new watercolors and Altschul will be showing paintings and photography at an exhibition to run through Dec. 15.

Klunk's watercolor masks feature vibrant colors, and patterns that evoke the symmetry and delicacy of butterfly wings. Altschul pays tribute to the both the natural world, and the realm of ballet, in her photography, paintings, and mixed media work.
