Sleepy Hollow celebrates 'Halloween in the Hollow'

The cold weather didn't seem to keep the monsters away from the annual Halloween in the Hollow. Nor did it stop the princesses, dinosaurs, baseball players, planets or sheep from parading for prizes.

The costume parade, pumpkin decorating and other activities were featured Saturday during the Sleepy Hollow Service Club's annual event, held in Sabatino Park. The event also included local craft and domestic beers and a chili contest.

Visitors had a chance to take in a hayride and watch the lighting of the bonfire and see the headless horseman ride.

The Sleepy Hollow Service Club also organizes the annual Easter egg hunt and Fourth of July festival in Sabatino Park through donations from residents and local businesses.
