Schaumburg to vote Nov. 14 on streaming meetings

Schaumburg's village board will vote Nov. 14 on a committee recommendation to start a six-month trial period of videorecording and streaming the village board's meetings on YouTube on Jan. 9.

Village officials believe the startup costs for the trial period will be negligible, due to its use of just a single camera already owned by the village at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts.

Before the trial period starts, village staff would test out the camera angle and video quality to ensure village board members are satisfied with both.
