River Trail Nature Center to host Fall Festival Sunday

River Trail Nature Center will be hosting a Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at 3120 Milwaukee Ave. in Northbrook. The event will feature storytelling, pumpkin painting, wildflower honey, hayrides, pumpkin bowling, beeswax candle making, beekeeping demonstrations and birds of prey presentations.

Admission is free; there will be a small fee for some activities, or visitors can donate nonperishable food items in exchange for activity tickets. Parking with shuttle service will be at Glenbrook South High School, Lake Avenue and Robin Lane in Glenview. Parking for walk-in visitors will be at Allison Woods and Lake Avenue Woods East. Accessible parking will be in the lot at the Nature Center.
