Palatine police arrest 2 boys accused of burglarizing vehicles

Palatine police have petitioned two boys to juvenile court and are investigating a third who ran away from an area where 10 unlocked vehicles were burglarized in the area of the 1200 block of East Prairie Brook Drive during the predawn hours of Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Officers were first called to the 1400 block of East Evergreen at 2:46 a.m. that day for a report of two males looking into vehicles with flashlights.

 

The two boys, whom police found hiding, possessed several items taken from multiple vehicles in the area. Among the stolen items recovered were wallets, watches, sunglasses, cellphone chargers and keys.
