Arlington Heights police looking into 2nd suspicious incident in two months

Arlington Heights police are investigating what they are calling "a suspicious incident and suspicious person" for the second time in as many months.

On Sunday, a white man in his 20s or 30s, possibly with a beard and driving a red sedan, stopped near Mayfair and Beverly roads and offered a girl who was on the sidewalk money for a favor, according to Detective Sgt. Chuck Buczynski.

The man did not leave his car and the girl stayed on the sidewalk before turning and walking away, Buczynski said.

The incident is similar to one that happened Aug. 6 near the intersection of Rockwell Street and Lincoln Lane, Buczynski said.

In that incident, a man with the same description and a red sedan solicited a sexual act for money.
