Nordic revelry takes over South Elgin park for Scandinavian Day fest

Visitors to the 38th annual Scandinavian Day Festival Sunday at Vasa Park in South Elgin were treated to sunny weather to enjoy Scandinavian entertainment, food and activities.
The group Kyle and Dave performed an eclectic blend of traditional and modern Norwegian folk music, to the joy of the audience.
Younger visitors could ride horses and ponies in the South Elgin park along the Fox River or create their own personalized Viking shields. The festival celebrated five countries - Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
