Pickleball courts available

Pickleball, a sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong, is coming to Park View Health & Fitness Center, 1401 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, beginning Sept. 12. Two courts will be available from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The game uses a tennis-style net, lightweight plastic ball and wooden or graphite paddles and can be played by all ages. The Mundelein Park & Recreation District coordinated the schedule with the Vernon Hills Park District, which offers pickleball during the same time Mondays and Wednesdays.
