Prospect Heights District 23 appoints new school board member

Prospect Heights School District 23 appointed a new board member Wednesday.

School board members unanimously chose Brian Greidanus to fill a position left vacant after the April 4 election.

The board had three 4-year seats up for election, but only two candidates - incumbents Kevin Novak and Patrick Chester - ran.

Greidanus has been a resident for two years and has two students in the district.

Four people applied for the position, Superintendent Deb Wilson said.
