Town and Country Public Library notes

The Town and Country Public Library, 320 E. North St. in Elburn, hosts a variety of programs and activities this winter. For details, call (630) 365-2244 or visit www.elburn.lib.il.us.

Read to Succeed: The Chicago Wolves hockey team is again sponsoring the Read to Succeed reading program at the library. This program is open to students of all ages who have a valid library card from Town and Country Public Library. "Read to Succeed" starts Monday, Dec. 29, and runs through Monday, Feb. 2. Everyone who reads just 200 minutes will receive a prize.

Game Days and Nights: The library will have Game Days and Nights for teens and kids during the holiday break. Game Days and Nights will feature Wii Sports, Dance Dance Revolution and Rock Band. There will also be various fun board games available to play. Game dates and times are: 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26 for middle school students; 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29 for high school students; and noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 for grade school students.

Craft workshop: Children are welcome to the library for an after Christmas craft workshop at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30. All kinds of crafts will be available for children to enjoy. This is a free craft time funded and supervised by the Friends of the Library.
