Arlington Hts. woman fatally shot by ex-boyfriend who then shoots himself
An Arlington Heights woman was gunned down in Elmhurst by an ex- boyfriend who later turned the gun on himself, authorities said.
Cindy L. Bischof, a 43-year-old real estate agent, was shot around 4 p.m. Friday outside Darwin Realty, 970 N. Oaklawn Ave., where she worked, police said.
When police arrived, they found Bischof and her 60-year-old ex-boyfriend, Michael L. Giroux of Chicago, laying in the parking lot suffering from gun shot wounds.
Both were taken to Elmhurst Hospital where both eventually died.
Police have labeled the case a murder-suicide.
