‘Oh, It Is Love'
Forrest Kline and Hellogoodbye introduced the world to its boppy, poppy vibes with 2006's debut “Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!” — an album peppered with upbeat energy from songs such as “All Time Lows” and simple and clean declarations of affection “Baby, It's Fact” and “Oh, It Is Love.” But the release of the platinum single “Here (In Your Arms)” solidified demand for a sophomore album and beyond from the California band. Members delivered in 2010 with the independently released “Would It Kill You?,” a charming collection of songs that took the band in a heavier direction with a deeper dive into emotions and relationships punctuated by an emphasis on real instruments over the electronic effects from the band's previous release. Hellogoodbye celebrates the 10-year anniversary of that album with a high-quality, multi-cam livestream of a full-album playthrough this weekend from Nature Sounds Studio in Long Beach, California. In addition to the full-band show, fans will get access to unreleased b-sides, remixes, chats with the band and more. Catch it live Friday or enjoy access to the video later on in the weekend.

Matt Keen ‘Restless' party
After years playing bluesy Southern rock with full bands around Chicago and the suburbs, Elburn-area musician Matt Keen ventured out on his own with the “Restless Days” solo album earlier this year. The rock is still there, but there's a new maturity reflecting some of Keen's recent life changes. He will be celebrating the album with a playthrough of it and other favorites for a free digital release party this weekend at D and G Brewing in St. Charles. Portions of the concert will also be streamed at facebook.com/MattKeenMusic.
