Quentin Road Baptist Church brings back pageant, 'Bethlehem's Tower'

Continuing its tradition of more than 30 years, Quentin Road Baptist Church in Lake Zurich will present its annual Christmas pageant Dec. 12-15.

The show, "Bethlehem's Tower," was created by Linda Scudder, with original songs and orchestration by Emmy Award-winning artist David Clydesdale. The 2019 production will feature three new songs alongside many of the original songs that thousands come back for every year.

The pageant presents the story of Jesus' birth through a Broadway-style production featuring elaborate staging and lighting; a cast of more than 300 performers, including hundreds of children; flying angels; and live animals, including an 8-foot-tall camel.

There are six showings scheduled: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, and Friday, Dec. 13; and 1:30 and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15.

A limited number of free seats are offered at every showing, with regular tickets available for $10 or $15; and premier seating available for $20, $25 or $35.

The church is at 60 Quentin Road, Lake Zurich. For tickets, visit qrchristmas.com or call (847) 438-4494.
