Donna Summer musical, 'Oslo' part of full Broadway in Chicago 2019-2020 season

Broadway in Chicago has released its full 2019-2020 season roster, which includes a Donna Summer musical and the previously announced "Frozen."

The productions are:

• "Oslo" (Sept. 10-Oct. 20, at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place): Chicago's own TimeLine Theatre stages the local premiere of J.T. Rogers' Tony Award-winning 2017 drama looking at the 1990s Oslo Accord between the government of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization.

• "Once Upon a One More Time" (Oct. 29-Dec. 1, at the Nederlander Theatre): The song catalog of pop diva Britney Spears gets meshed with fairy tale characters in this pre-Broadway, world-premiere musical.

• "Mean Girls" (Dec. 25-Jan. 26, 2020, at the Nederlander Theatre): This 2018 Broadway musical adaptation of the hit 2004 film comedy features a script by Tina Fey and, a score by Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin.

• "Once On This Island" (Jan. 21-Feb. 2, 2020, at the Cadillac Palace Theatre): Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens' acclaimed 1990 musical has been described as a Caribbean spin on "The Little Mermaid."

• "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" (Feb. 12-23, 2020, at the Nederlander Theatre): The life and times of the "Queen of Disco" is the focus of this 2018 jukebox musical.

• "Disney's Frozen" (Oct. 21, 2020-Jan. 3, 2021, at the Cadillac Palace Theatre): Disney's hit plays an extended run in its 2018 Broadway stage version.

Off season shows not included in the subscription package include:

• "An Evening with C.S. Lewis Starring David Payne" (Oct. 22-Nov. 3, at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place): Learn about the late British author famed for writing the Narnia Chronicles in this one-man show.

• "Irving Berlin's White Christmas" (Dec. 10-15, at the Cadillac Palace Theatre): The seasonal holiday musical returns on tour complete with its score full of Irving Berlin hit songs.

• "The Phantom of the Opera" (Dec. 18-Jan. 5, 2020, at the Cadillac Palace Theatre): Andrew Lloyd Webber's romantic blockbuster spectacle returns in its revised 2013 touring version.
