Holiday House Tour in a Historic 1897 Home: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 388 S. St. Mary's Road, Libertyville. Home to St. Mary's Academy & Convent, the 15,000-square-foot home has been restored to original beauty with seven fireplaces, stained glass and antiques from the around the world. It is decorated with 10 Christmas trees for the holidays. Park at Libertyville Covenant Church 250 S. St. Mary's Road, Green Oaks; shuttle services every five minutes. Holiday Housewalk Craft Fair: The Marengo & Union 27th annual Holiday Housewalk Craft Fair will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Stop by 14 locations in both towns featuring crafts, such as ornaments, scarves, handwoven baskets, handmade cards, primitives, antiques, stocking stuffers, soaps, candles, hand-knit women and children's accessories, metal yard art and more. The nursery and tree farms will offer create-your-own wreath, poinsettias, Christmas trees and wreaths, centerpieces, hanging baskets, decor. Lunch with hot soup, sandwiches, drinks and desserts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Marengo United Methodist Church. Admission is free. Visit holidayhousewalk.com.

Cup of Cheer House Walk and Holiday Market: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 6-7, at North Central College's Harold and Eva White Activities Center, 328 E. Benton Ave., Naperville. Visit four homes in Naperville decked out for the holidays and the Holiday Market at North Central College's White Activities Center. Free admission to the Holiday Market on Friday afternoon. $56.50 on Thursday; $41.50 on Friday; a portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible, $35 and $20, respectively. www.napervillegardenclub.org.

Geneva Christmas House Tour: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. Self-guided tour featuring five homes decorated for the season. Holiday Tea will be 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, at First Congregational Church, 327 Hamilton St. Advance tickets $35; call the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, (630) 232-6060 or www.genevachamber.com. This event often sells out early. Tickets can be mailed or picked up at the tea either day.

Winter Wonderland House Walk for Charity: 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, hosted by the Sunflower Garden Club of Sun City Huntley, with six decorated homes, and a dessert reception in the Fountain View Cedar Room. Tickets, which are $10, will be sold near the entrance of Prairie Lodge Drendel Ballroom from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, and Monday, Dec. 3.
