Outdated plaid furniture has taken a beating over 23 years
You should pick my room because it has been 23 years since we have had new furniture and it shows! Our 14-year-old son has significant cognitive and physical special needs in addition to epilepsy. He likes to stand in front of our sofas and play with his toys, which are placed on the sofas in order for him to reach them. Also the sofas provide a soft place for him to land should he fall over or have a seizure. I have tried covering the couches and cleaning them but the stains don't seem to come out.
In addition to the stains, our furniture is 1990s plaid, which is so not stylish anymore. Our middle school daughter is embarrassed to take Instagram photos in our family room because of the outdated furniture. We would love to get some new, durable furniture that would have a more updated look to freshen up the room. It will likely be another 23 years before we get new furniture - please don't let that happen!

To bring the Christmas spirit to the room start with a 7.5-foot Treetime Sierra Mountain artificial Christmas tree. To bring a fun vintage feel to the tree, decorate it with ornaments and tinsel from the Shiny and Brite by Christopher Radko Collection.
Add a reindeer pillow to the sofa for a very simple way to get the Christmas feel. Finally, start a new tradition. Place a Christmas tree Advent box in the room, fill the compartments behind the doors with a surprise and celebrate Christmas season in a small way each day of Advent.
