Festivals: Six Flags' Fright Fest, Oktoberfests, fall fests & many more

ArtsFest-St. Charles: Runs through Sunday, Sept. 16, in venues around St. Charles. The eighth annual event, by the St. Charles Arts Council and St. Charles Park District, features multiple artistic disciplines in venues all over the city. The Gallery Crawl includes 11 art galleries/exhibitions, including the latest ArtsFest Pop-Up Gallery and the Norris Cultural Arts Center's signature “Vicinity Show,” as well as the park district's sculpture exhibition. Elgin Fringe Festival: Runs through Sunday, Sept. 16, at various locations in downtown Elgin.
