Gladys Knight, George Thorogood coming to Aurora

George Thorogood & The Destroyers and Gladys Knight are among the acts coming to Aurora's RiverEdge Park this summer.

Thorogood, with special guest Foghat, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the park at 360 N. Broadway. Gladys Knight and The O'Jays will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

"We are excited to welcome another round of music icons to RiverEdge Park this summer," Mayor Richard Irvin said. "From R&B legends such as Gladys Knight and The O'Jays to rock luminaries like George Thorogood and Foghat to a list of soon-to-be announced acts that cover the music spectrum, there will be something for everyone to enjoy in the City of Lights."

Tickets for both shows go on sale online at 10 a.m. Thursday at RiverEdgeAurora.com. Thorogood tickets are $20 to $155. Tickets for Knight are $25 to $200. Phone and in-person sales start at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 19. Call the RiverEdge box office at (630) 896-6666, or stop by the satellite box office at the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

RiverEdge box offices also will open on-site at noon on both days. Ticket options include reserved and lawn seating.
