Chicago, REO Speedwagon summer tour stops in Rosemont June 24

Chicago and REO Speedwagon, iconic classic rock bands with deep roots in the Chicago area, are teaming for a 34-stop North American summer tour that will come to Allstate Arena in Rosemont June 24.

Tickets for that show go on sale March 2 at www.livenation.com.

An announcement of the tour Monday says fans will be treated to a night filled with a deep catalog of hits from both bands.

Chicago will perform their historic album Chicago II in its entirety, followed by the "world's longest encore" as the band jokingly refers to it, filled with their greatest hits.

REO Speedwagon will perform fan-favorites such as "In Your Letter," "Can't Fight This Feeling," "Time For Me To Fly," "Roll With The Changes," and more.

"It's always a party sharing the stage with Kevin, Neal, Bruce, Dave and Bryan," Chicago's Robert Lamm said of performing with REO Speedwagon. "They rock. We rock. The tour rocks!"

"We love the Chicago guys," REO Speedwagon frontman Kevin Cronin added in the tour announcement. " We all share that Midwest rock' n roll ethic. We work hard, rock hard and take care of business."

The tour begins June 13 in Concord, California and ends Aug. 12 in Detroit.
