Dining out: Olive Garden adds two new lighter dishes

Feel the need to lighten up your diet? On Tuesday, Jan. 2, Olive Garden is adding two new items to its Tastes of Mediterranean menu. The spiralized veggie pasta combines zucchini and squash noodles with whole grain linguine, tomatoes and garlic in a scampi herb sauce for 560 calories. The chicken giardino is grilled chicken and fresh veggies tossed with pappardelle pasta in a lemon chicken herb sauce for 600 calories. Honey-Jam opens
The breakfast- and lunch-centric Honey-Jam Cafe recently opened in the space formerly occupied by Aurelio's Pizza, just west of Arlington International Racecourse in Arlington Heights. Open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, the restaurant serves omelettes, scramblers, skillets, French toast, pancakes and crepes, as well as burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads.
