• Now through Saturday, Sept. 30, for every dessert sold at Texas de Brazil Churrascaria in Schaumburg, $1 will be donated to the American Red Cross to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Desserts include chocolate mousse cake, Key lime pie, Brazilian flan, coconut chess pie and more. • Through Sept. 30, Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in Oak Brook is offering a special discounted three-course menu for $49.95, $5 of which will be donated to the Houston Flood Relief Fund organized by Houston Texans star J.J. Watt. The special dinner includes a choice of wedge, Caesar or kale salads followed by an entree such as bacon-wrapped surf and turf filet, Perry's seven-finger-high pork chop, grilled sea bass and the 14-ounce prime rib-eye. End with the Dessert Trio - vanilla bean crème brûlée, praline cheesecake and Perry's chocolate crunch or Perry's milk chocolate peanut butter candy bar. Price does not include tax and gratuity. Toast to the Coast dinner at Shaw's

Shaw's Schaumburg chef Pete Balodimas has drawn inspiration from the sea and seasonal ingredients to create the restaurant's special four-course Toast to the Coast dinner, which runs from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23. First course choices include oysters on the half shell, tuna crudo or lobster hush puppies; second course features crab au gratin, fried oyster salad, Maine lobster bisque or New Orleans seafood gumbo. For the third course, choose from grilled Ora King Salmon, shrimp and crawfish étouffée or char glazed Florida red grouper. Dessert includes Key lime pie, chocolate beignets or Southern apple cobbler. Enjoy a specially designed menu of coastal cocktails, too. The dinner costs $49 (excluding drinks, tax and gratuity). PDQ opens in Wheaton

PDQ - short for "People Dedicated to Quality" - opens its first Illinois location Sunday, Sept. 24, in Wheaton. The new fast-casual restaurant will offer chef-inspired bowls, seasonal sandwiches, hand-breaded chicken tenders, 14 signature sauces homemade each day, veggie- or fruit-based sides, tossed salads, hand-spun milkshakes and more. One Fifty One hosts Stonestreet wine dinner

One Fifty One Kitchen Bar is pairing up with Stonestreet wines for a special four-course wine dinner at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27. Guest presenter Craig Ellick will discuss the wines. Start off with the 2015 Estate sauvignon blanc with a Lyonnaise salad. The second course is scallops with cauliflower and horseradish purée paired with the 2015 Estate chardonnay. Next up is the 2014 Estate cabernet sauvignon with duck, quinoa, cherry and chestnut puree. Tablas Creek wine dinner at Parkers'

Parkers' Restaurant & Bar, which recently was awarded its first Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, is hosting a six-course wine-pairing dinner with Tablas Creek Vineyard at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28. Executive chef Eddie Jobin Jr. has created a menu featuring poached California spot prawn, aged white cheddar en croute, porchetta, roasted Rock Island swordfish, cocoa-rubbed bison and house-made churro. Each course will be paired with different varietals from the Paso Robles, California, winery. The dinner costs $110, including tax and gratuity.
