Letter: You're jumping the gun on Roe v Wade protests
If anyone tunes in to watch any news program today you will know that the end of the world is upon us.
People are marching, demonstrating, protesting a draft of a very preliminary Supreme Court decision that may be adjudicated.
No decision has been rendered.
Abortion rights have not been usurped. No one has come to a conclusion yet, if ever, at all.
Folks, relax. Illinois, California, New York, Massachusetts and many other states will maintain their options regarding abortion rights.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker told us he is going to fight like "hell" to preserve the right to have an abortion.
J.B., hello, you don't have to fight like hell to preserve reproductive options. Nothing is changing in Illinois. The Democrat supermajority is now and will remain in control.
Nothing will change.
Go home, folks, status quo is just that. Put your signs and posters back in the garage and actually wait to see if anything will change.
You're up in arms way to soon. Please just relax.
