On defining 'evil'

I read with interest the "cynical uncle's" definition of what is evil. I must say that while childish, I don't agree that Nancy Pelosi's shredding of Trump's State of the Union address was evil. Nor do I agree that Schumer's comments about abortion were evil. They were protected as free speech, something that former President Trump invokes when he spews his vitriol. What I would call evil is the minimization of service to the country by calling veterans that were POW's cowards and holding rallies where you tell people to march to the Capitol and fight like hell, telling the assembled crowd that he would be right with them and then making himself comfortable in a dining room to watch TV. Sorry, Uncle. I must disagree with your definitions and explanations of evil.
