Spread good news

Call it a wish … call it a challenge … for 2022.

"You have to see it to be it"

Not my saying, but so true. If all our children see is murder, mayhem and negative actions, what do they aspire to? So, here's what I'd like to see:

Every day, a front-page story about someone making a difference (such as the teacher whose efforts now feed a whole district of children, or Hugh Jackman on Broadway giving credit to all the understudies or a child worrying about other children and collecting food.)

Every school getting a copy of the paper and every teacher starting the day by reading that story of a good deed or an action that truly makes a difference for the better.

Maybe, just maybe, the TV news will pick up on the idea - and, for the younger-than-me generation, Twitter, etc., too.

I grew up with a grandmother who always said, "Make the spot you are in a better place to be, and think what the world would be like."

Peace and health to all in 2022.
