The redistricting fight

Updated 11/7/2021 4:16 PM

I applaud the Daily Herald's reporting of Illinois redistricting, both for its facts and (for those of us not acquainted with the implications) for their interpretation. True journalism like this is refreshing indeed.

Having lived in this state for some time, I am thoroughly disgusted with the Illinois Democratic Party; as far as I know, the national party remains silent on this shameless gerrymandering.

With such an absence of true representative government, such subversion of the right to vote, it is very apparent why people move out of state: they would vote for change, if only their votes would count.
