Reintroduce health-care fix in Congress

The nation is at a crossroads in health care. We are seeing what powerful things public funds can do and are seeing new avenues to generate public cash flow, such as when Janet Yellen hints at possible 50Yr T-Bonds being issued. COVID-19 also shows us with stark contrast how polarity of health care is between the rich the insured the underserved and the unserved.

We have seen what Medicare and Medicaid are capable of and how efficiently they can be run.

With more improvement and streamlining, Medicare and Medicaid can merge to create a powerful system for anyone to enroll in at low or no cost. It is already half done here in Illinois to which many Medicaid recipients are familiar with MMAI or Medicaid Medicare Alignment Initiative. The MMAI is already half of the raw materials needed to make Medicare4All a reality.

The only thing that is needed is co-sponsors to reintroduce the Medicare4All act of 2019 (HR 1384) in the 117th Congress and a willingness from both parties to negotiate a fair affordable price for Americans who can afford to pay an appropriate contribution to the trust fund for their care and a willingness to pass a public option for health care.
