Refreshing honesty

I have been a devoted follower of Walter Williams' columns for several years. I have saved all or nearly all of his columns since 2017 but did miss the last one he wrote before the final one that was printed. Somehow I missed saving that one before the paper went to recycle.

The letters that have been published regarding Walter Williams express my sentiments also. Mr. Williams always faced the world with honesty and understanding. He wrote about public situations with an open mind and honest appraisal. I was encouraged each day when I read his comments and opinions. His facing the facts without hesitation was so refreshing.

We are all poorer as we face the days without him. His daughter Devon's Eulogy was so touching. It was special to get to know him as a father, teacher, columnist and someone who gave so much to the world.
