Recognize racial prejudices as wrong

Our lame-duck president who touted loudly law and order only a few months ago is facing that boomerang toward himself and is crying foul. How ironic a situation can become and how hypocritical can one behave.

As an Asian immigrant since 55-plus years, it slowly became apparent to me, this nation which originally had only Judeo Christian whites, plus forcefully introduced blacks into gradually decimated indigenous misnamed Indians, became immersed into the great ideas of freedom and equality. I also knew that the nation will be colored brown gradually with many people like me.

What I did not foresee is the eruption of deep seated fear among whites, subjected to sharing or diminishing power.

Now it all makes it more clear to me the gradual switch of the Southern Whites to Lincoln's Republican Party, from their original Democratic Party, since the blacks and browns also embraced the Democratic Party in increasing numbers.

The parties were always on racial lines, rather than party's principles, ever since the brown people got introduced in large numbers.

It is more than ever important for people with deep seated racial prejudices to recognize that as a sin and abandon it and not elect leaders that only stoke it into flames.
