Some ideas to help restaurants

I'm not a restaurant owner but here is an idea about how to maybe help our restaurants get through this pandemic. How about limiting dinners to just two people per table?

No capacity limit requirements, no larger groups or parties, no groups in private rooms, no sitting at the bar, and all tables spaced at the required social distance,

Also only the server would be allowed to approach the table, no other workers can come to the table for any reason. Masks would be required for servers at all times, and for patrons until food and drinks are served.

This would allow couples, two friends or business associates to enjoy lunch or dinner in restaurants until things settle down.

Another idea is for the state to establish a website where anyone who tested positive could voluntarily log on and report where they have been. You would hope that many people would want to help with contact tracing if they test positive. At the very least we might be able to get a handle as to what activities are causing most of the virus spread and stop the guessing game.

We really need to figure out how to save our restaurants and the jobs they provide, plus the joy they bring to many of us.
